Holiday Sips: Chai, Rooibos, and Mulled Wine Delights

Here are some festive hot holiday drink recipes featuring tea and wine for a cozy and delicious holiday season:

1. Spiced Chai Latte

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 Tega Organic Masala Chai Tea bags
  • 1 cup milk (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Bring water to a boil and steep chai tea bags for 5 minutes.
  2. Heat milk in a saucepan until steaming (do not boil). Froth if desired.
  3. Remove tea bags and combine the tea with milk.
  4. Sweeten with honey or maple syrup, sprinkle cinnamon on top, and serve warm.

2. Mulled Wine with Rooibos Tea

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups red wine
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 Tega Organic Rooibos Tea bags
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar

Instructions:

  1. Heat water and steep rooibos tea bags for 5 minutes, then remove the bags.
  2. In a saucepan, combine tea, wine, orange slices, cloves, cinnamon stick, and honey.
  3. Heat gently over low heat for 10-15 minutes (do not boil).
  4. Strain into mugs and garnish with a cinnamon stick or orange slice.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tega Organic Masala Chai Rooibos Tea bag
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 oz whiskey or rum
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • Lemon slice and cinnamon stick for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Steep the chai tea bag in boiling water for 5 minutes.
  2. Add whiskey or rum and stir in maple syrup.
  3. Garnish with a lemon slice and cinnamon stick. Serve warm.

4. Holiday Spiced Tea Punch

Ingredients:

  • 4 Tega Organic Maple Ice-Wine Tea bags
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup cranberry juice
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Star anise and fresh cranberries for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Bring water to a boil and steep tea bags for 5 minutes.
  2. Combine brewed tea, cranberry juice, orange juice, honey, and cinnamon stick in a pot.
  3. Heat gently and serve warm, garnished with star anise and cranberries.

5. Spiked Peppermint Rooibos Hot Chocolate

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tega Organic Rooibos Tea bags
  • 2 cups milk (or plant-based alternative)
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp sugar or sweetener of choice
  • 1 oz peppermint schnapps (optional)
  • Whipped cream and crushed candy canes for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Steep tea bags in 1/2 cup boiling water for 5 minutes, then remove.
  2. In a saucepan, combine tea, milk, cocoa powder, and sugar. Heat until steaming.
  3. Stir in peppermint schnapps if using.
  4. Pour into mugs, top with whipped cream, and sprinkle crushed candy canes on top.

6. White Tea Mulled Apple Cider

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tega Organic Maple Ice-Wine Tea bags
  • 4 cups apple cider
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Heat apple cider with orange slices, cinnamon sticks, and cloves in a pot. Simmer gently for 10 minutes.
